Two weeks ago I'd only ever flown to the Emerald Isle, but thanks to Tallships.org I was off on a last-minute sail from Swansea to Liverpool, via Dublin and Douglas. Great fun sailing 72 feet with a 95-foot rig. That's about the same proportions of sail to hull as the Laser, but better for 10-foot waves! A week later I was delivering a harpsichord on Stena Line.
