Dear Emma,

Thank you for your email.
I'd love to bring the boat down for a photo shoot with Shirley Robertson. She should have a sail in the Mirror so we need a waterside location.

To tell you the truth, I'm a bit shocked to discover that we are going ahead with Mirror 32 at the Boat Show because I thought that I'd knocked it on the head with an email to Mike on 15th July. My problem was, and still is, the amount of time that I would need to spend in Southampton from 13th-22nd Sept.  I will need some help on the stand other than the hands I can muster from the sailing club. Can you guys help with by providing a few famous sailors to man the stand?!

It's great that you want Mirror 32 at the show. I'm sure we can make it happen.

Cheers,
Peter.

Dear Peter,

I am extremely excited to be getting Mirror Dinghy 32 to our Show and feel this is a really great attraction to our Show and to help you auction it to gain lots of money for charity.

In my role within the Boat Shows team I have been talking to the press in great detail as to what we have got coming up, what’s new, exciting etc. There is some great interest in the story behind the Mirror Dinghy and the concept of what you would like to do at the Show.

I wanted to get in touch with you to ask if you would be happy for us to do some pre-Show promotion of your boat being at the Show? Shirley Robertson OBE, double Olympic gold medallist has been in touch to let us know that the Mirror Dinghy was the first boat she ever sailed in and she had one built by her father in their garage. We are looking to do a photo shoot with Shirley and your boat before the Show to get press and media coverage.

Could you let me know if you would be interested in working with us on this and if it is possible to get the boat to Hampshire.

Kind regards

Emma York
